111 Bakery: A Delightful Patisserie in San Jose

I have always loved this bakery and I love it even more now that they have renovated. What an amazing small bakery that serves the best banh mis! Their bread is so freakin flaky and soft! They also serve american sandwiches now. And the service is fast.

My favorite place for a Vietnamese sandwich. I love their grilled pork Banh mi. Just look at my picture. Full of meat and pickle veggies. It's saucy and flavorful. A good sandwich and a Vietnamese coffee is all I need. The place is always nice and clean, spotlessly clean !!! And the cashiers are all polite and friendly. Idk why this store is so underrated. People always come to DH or L's sandwiches next door and completely ignore this lovely bakery. This place is 10x better imo.

I remember coming here as a kid with my mom & back then, it was mainly for their sweet pastries. After years, I've gone back recently to try their pate chaud which I was looking forward to but I found it to be too oily. It seemed pretty heavy & I was missing that light, flaky puff pastry texture you'd usually get for these. I'll know not to come back for these but I will stick to their sweet pastries like their blueberry cream cheese danish. So good & shareable too. Service was quick & friendly. The place is well kept too.

Wow, first of all this place is a really great bakery. They recently renovated so it feels very bright and inviting. They have so many different types of baked goods it's almost overwhelming in a good way. I really like their vietnamese coffee!!! Def try that here. The prices are also really good as well. The service is very quick & efficient. My go to bakery in the area :)

I always frequent this hole-in-the-wall bakery which has been renovated recently. Their buns and pastries are delicious and reasonably priced. The vegetable banh mi Is also scrumptious. Service is efficient and staff is courteous.

When it comes to Vietnamese bakery shops 111 Bakery comes on top the ladies working here are quick on their feet friendly service and prices are to beat. They have a wide selection of bánh mì a choice of having a mini for $3.50 or a baguette $6.50 I prefer schredded chicken and grilled pork and they don't skimp on portion goes very well with a cup of Vietnamese iced coffee (cà phê đá) for $5 extremely cheap and their baked breads are freshly made. They have a whole display of pastries, buns, baked breads, cakes, cookies, egg tarts, pate chaud and croissants price around $2 to $3 best time come early than later in the day. The shop has been renovated and even have a designated line whereas there was very little elbow room nicely done. They're opened seven days a week from 6am to 6pm early in the morning is the best time with so few shoppers and very little traffic.

So glad I was able to find this hole in the wall for their pate chaud! If you love fresh asian baked goods, this is the spot. I've gone by to this place multiple times for their pate chaud and it never misses. The crust is flaky, filling is flavorful, great portion of meat. It was $2 each before, now they have raised the price to $2.50. Best pate chaud. I recommend going early bc they tend to sell out by noon. Their meat pork bun is also yummy, imagined a baked steam bun. Their sweet pastries are affordable, not too sweet. The service is quick, on the go. It's in a plaza but parking can be hard to find at times.

Came by on a fairly busy Saturday. We got bbq pork buns, guava twist, and steamed bbq pork bun. The bbq pork buns were pretty good! We also got the bbq pork banh mi which was amazing. It was $6.50 for a regular baguette size (mini size available too for $3.50). The bread had a slight crisp but was also soft (perfect texture in my opinion and doesn't cut your mouth lol), and the meat was delicious. Banh mi took about 10 mins to get ready. Super good deal on the banh mi and better than a lot of other banh mi spots I've had! Unfortunately they were out of the pate chaud by the time we arrived, which was around 1pm. Would return for banh mi and to try the pate chaud! No seating inside and more of a grab and go bakery.

I don't exactly know when the one eleven was established in this location, but I can tell with the dated fixtures, that they have been here a while. But, and that's a very enthusiastic but. Don't let the lack of photo opportunities discourage you from trying out this bakery. Essential functionality is the ambiance one feels upon entering the shop. Always a safe indicator is people in line and a busy crew. Even with the bustling weekend lunch rush, we were out within 20 minutes. A great tip is knowing what to order to get a faster in & out experience. I had to check out the pastries on hand to figure out which to stuff in our box while my wife was queueing. Our stash of baked carbs was a win. Prices at an average of $2/item is a big "yes please" for us considering that this bakeshop was in San Jose. The Guava Turnover, Pan au Chocolat, Almond Croissant, Crab Flake Bun, Chicken Bun and Ube Cake (topped with coconut flakes) are definitely our favorites. This was our second time here, so it took us this long to figure out that they sold bánh mì and steamed pork buns also. Well, those will definitely be on our list when we return in 2024.
